How many of you have wedding rings or bands that are in need of a MAJOR deep cleaning?! I finally found a solution that puts the shine back in my sparkle!
This method gets them back to their original sparkle looking brand new, like the day I said “I DO” over 13 years ago!
Here are the supplies you need:
– Glass jar with a lid like this one I found on amazon
– Windex (1-2 cups)
– Dish soap (like Dawn or Palmolive | 2-3 drops)
– Old toothbrush
I keep the above solution under my bathroom sink so I can reuse as needed. When you go to use it you want to remove the top and microwave for 1 minute. Then stir it and drop your rings in. Note: You can leave your rings in this solution for 10 minutes or 1 hour.
When you go to pull them out make sure if you do it over the sink you have pulled the plug so your rings don’t go down the drain. Eek. They will be slimy from the solution so keep that in mind. Use the toothbrush to give a little scrub and then rinse really well in warm water. Dry with a tissue and BAM! Enjoy your sparkling new ring(s)!!!
*Please note I only recommend using this for real diamonds, gold, platinum. I have NOT used it for my other jewelry and don’t recommend.
